East Clinic Rehab: Expanding Outpatient Rehabilitation Services

The University Medical Center of El Paso (UMC) is advancing the East Clinic Rehab project, located at 1521 Joe Battle Blvd. This facility is part of UMC’s broader off-campus expansion to bring specialized healthcare services closer to El Paso communities.

The project focuses on creating a dedicated outpatient rehabilitation clinic to better serve patients in need of physical, occupational, and other rehabilitative therapies.

Project Team and Timeline

  • Project Manager: Hammes (Contract executed October 2025)
  • Architect of Record: MNK (Local) / Marmon Mok (Contract executed November 2025)
  • Design Completion: February 2026
  • Current Phase: General Contractor RFP (February 2026)

After the design phase has concluded, the project will move through General Contractor RFP phase, with the selection of a general contractor expected shortly. Once construction begins, this new facility will strengthen UMC’s outpatient rehabilitation capacity, providing modern, accessible care for patients in East El Paso.
